Iran launches production facilities in three provinces

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 9

Six industrial and production facilities have been put into operation today, on July 9, in Sistan and Baluchestan Province (southeastern Iran), Fars Province (southern Iran) and Isfahan Province (central Iran), Iran's Acting Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Hossein Modarres Khiabani said at an event dedicated to the commissioning of these enterprises, Trend reports referring to the ministry.

According to Modarres Khiabani, a total of more than 58.8 trillion rials (about $1.4 billion) has been invested in the construction of these facilities.

He added that with the commissioning of six enterprises, more than 1,200 workers have been provided with jobs.

The acting minister emphasized that 25 large industrial and mining enterprises have been commissioned from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to date with the investment of 130 trillion rials (about $3.09 billion) which allowed to employ 3,000 people.

In the current Iranian year, 200 industrial and mining enterprises are planned to be commissioned. They were selected from 4,000 enterprises with 80 percent progress in construction.

About 1.7 quadrillion rials (about $40.4 billion) are to be invested in the commissioning of the industrial and mining enterprises and facilities in the current Iranian year.
