Azerbaijan is interested in buying Ukrainian industrial products, including steel and agricultural machinery, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Ukraine Elmira Akhundova said, Trend reports referring to the press office of Ukrainian Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
Akhundova made the remark at the meeting with the head of the administration Oleksandr Bondarenko.
"Azerbaijan is ready to share its positive experience in various fields with its Ukrainian partners, for example, in the development of road infrastructure, implementation of environmental programs, and also the implementation of projects useful for the population, thanks to which people can conveniently and quickly draw up any documents and social assistance," the ambassador said.
Bondarenko noted that the Dnipropetrovsk province holds leading positions in the country in many respects.
“There are industrial giants on the territory of the province, and almost half of the country's mineral resources are mined here. We are interested in the development of economic, cultural and educational ties with other states, including Azerbaijan,” he said.
“To this end, we plan to open the European Integration Office. It will be a center for mutual exchange of cultural traditions and attracting foreign investments. Moreover, it will allow us to learn from each other the successful implementation of projects in various industries," he added.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Ukraine from January through June 2020 amounted to $443.3 million.
