Volume of almonds exported from Uzbekistan for 9M2020 revealed

The volume of almonds exported from Uzbekistan from January through August 2020 in value terms amounted to $7.3 million, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The physical volume of almonds exported from Uzbekistan for the reported period accounts for 1,195 tons.

The largest share of the exported almonds for 9M2020 falls on Kyrgyzstan (52 percent), while the share of almonds exported from Uzbekistan to Germany and Turkey accounted for 11 percent and 9 percent respectively.

The export of almonds to the Netherlands this year increased by 5.4 times, to Spain - 5 times and by 2.5 times to India.

For the first time almonds from Uzbekistan began to be supplied to countries such as China, Switzerland, Hungary and France.

Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan plans to export beans, mung bean, chickpeas, almonds, walnuts, raisins, dried apricots, prunes and dried figs to the US.
