Some 120 tons of red beans last week were delivered to Laos for the first time, Trend reports referring to Dunyo information agency.

GLOBAL EXPORT supplied legumes to the Lao market in special labeled packaging "Made in Uzbekistan".

The agreement on the delivery of this batch was reached during the International Exhibition of Imported Goods "China International Import Expo" (CIIE - 2020) "New Era, Common Future", which was held in Shanghai on November 5-10 this year.

Uzbekistan was represented by a national stand under the brand "Made in Uzbekistan", which was organized by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade (MIFT), the Export Promotion Agency under the MIFT, as well as the Embassy and Consulate General in Shanghai.

Representatives of the GLOBAL EXPORT took part in the exhibition with their products. They held negotiations with partners and potential buyers from China and other countries.

Five new export contracts were signed with Chinese buyers for the supply of green mung beans worth $4.5 million. At the moment, products worth $1.2 million have been exported under the contracts.

New and growing supplies of domestic products to Asian markets will contribute to an increase in their recognition and competitiveness due to their high quality and compliance with all necessary standards.
