Kazan Powder Factory and the State Committee for Defense Industry of Uzbekistan discussed the supply of pyroxylin powder in 2021, Trend reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
The management of the Federal State Enterprise Kazan State Treasury Powder Factory and representatives of the State Committee of Uzbekistan for the Defense Industry signed a cooperation agreement.
“The parties agreed on the conditions, nomenclature and cost of delivery of pyroxylin propellants in 2021, determined the volume of the technical documentation provided by both parties for the preparation of a project for licensed production of pyroxylin propellants on the territory of Uzbekistan, a basic scheme for the production of pyroxylin propellants, and the possibility of direct supply of raw materials (cotton cellulose) from Uzbekistan,” the agreement says.
The general director of Kazan State Treasury Powder Plant Alexander Livshits noted that Uzbekistan is the main supplier of raw materials needed for the manufacture of gunpowder.
Kazan State Treasury Powder Factory Federal state enterprise is one of the largest enterprises in the industry of ammunition and special chemicals. In 1788, it began the development as the main supplier of war powder for the Russian army, constantly demonstrating its high importance.
The plant produces all brands of pyroxylin powder and charges for small arms, small-caliber artillery, tank and aircraft guns, field and naval artillery, melee systems, hunting and sports powder, nitrocellulose, lacquer colloxylins, adhesives, paints, and varnishes.
