Uzbekistan eyes launching number of auto manufactures in 2021-2023

Uzbekistan plans to increase the number of car manufacturers in 2021-2023 by developing healthy competition in the automotive industry and creating equal conditions for enterprises, Trend reports referring to the press service of the president of Uzbekistan.

The investment program for 2021-2023 indicates several projects in the field of car production.

Navoi Motors, Navoi region

Production of pickup trucks, mini-trucks, minivans, SUVs and electric vehicles, and tractors. The commission is scheduled for December 2021. The production capacity amounts to 12,000 units. Investment volume accounts for $12 million. Parsalpine Management GMBH is indicated as a foreign partner/creditor.

Manas Avto Sanoat, Namangan region

Production of trucks. The commission is scheduled for December 2021. The production capacity amounts to 3,000 units. The volume of investments - $10 million. Manas Savunma AS is indicated as a foreign partner/creditor.

Namangan Changan Motors, Namangan region

Car manufacturing and assembly. The commission is scheduled for June 2021. Production capacity - 1.800 units. Investment volume - $5.8 million. Mustafa Rent A Car LLC is indicated as a foreign partner/creditor.

ADM Jizzakh, Jizzakh region

Production of Kia, Lada, and Renault cars. The design capacity amounts to 100,000 units. The project was estimated at $60.9 million, of which $33.3 is planned to be spent in 2021. The commission is scheduled for 2021-2022. The foreign partner/creditor is the Korean Eximbank.

Auto Motors Asia, Jizzakh region

Production of crossovers, trucks, and minibusses. Production capacity – 27,000 units. The volume of investments accounts for $16.2 million, of which $6 million is planned to be spent in 2021. The commission is scheduled for 2021-2022. Dongfeng Motor Corporation and Changan Automobile are designated as Foreign Partner / Lender.

Abbos Eco Agro, Surkhandarya region

Manufacture of cars, minivans, and mini-trucks. The production capacity amounts to 10,000 units. The volume of investments accounts for $30 million, of which $10 million is planned to be spent in 2021. The commission is scheduled for 2021-2023. BAIC Group is indicated as a foreign partner/creditor.
