Number of industrial enterprises licensed in Iran

As many as 347 industrial enterprises in Iran were licensed to be launched in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

According to the statistics, the number of licensed enterprises to be launched in Iran increased by 74.4 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year. So, this figure amounted to 199 enterprises in the same month last Iranian year.

“A total of 42.9 trillion rials (about $1.02 billion) was spent on these enterprises during first month. Expenditures increased by 13.7 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year. So, 37.7 trillion rials (about $898 million) was spent on enterprises launched in Iran in the same month last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

In general, 6,080 people were employed with the launch of enterprises in the first month. This is a decrease of 1.9 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year. However, 6,190 people were employed in Iran in the same month last Iranian year, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 2,090 enterprises were licensed for establishment in Iran during the first month. While in the same month last Iranian year, 799 enterprises were licensed in Iran for establishment. This means a 162-percent increase.

“About 278 trillion rials (about $6.64 billion) is to be spent on the establishment of enterprises within the 1st month. While in the same month last Iranian year, 64.9 trillion rials (about $1.54 billion) was to be spent on the establishment of enterprises. This means a 329-percent increase,” the statistics said.

In total, 43,000 people were to be employed in the first month with the launch of licensed enterprises. Whereas, this figure was 16,600 people in the same month last year. This means a 158-percent increase, the statistics said.
