Azerbaijan’s value of export to Italy has notably increased from January to July 2021, Trend reports on Aug.19 citing the statistical bulletin of Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According to the ministry, this showing amounted to over $4.3 billion, up 48.6 percent on annual basis.
Italy's share in Azerbaijan's total exports in the first seven months of 2021 made up 38.24 percent against 32.12 percent in the same period of 2020.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's import from Italy amounted to $261.6 million, and the share of this country in the total Azerbaijani import decreased by 0.03 percent for the year - down to 4.15 percent.
The value of foreign trade operations between the two countries for the first seven months of this year exceeded $4.6 billion (a growth of 45.3 percent on annual basis), while the trade balance remained positive - $4 billion.
In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January to July 2021 made up nearly $17.7 billion. Of these, exports accounted for $11.39 billion (64.4 percent), and imports - $6.3 billion (35.6 percent).
