Croatia increases import of Azerbaijani products

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31

The export of goods from Azerbaijan to Croatia in value terms amounted to $497.4 million from January through July 2021, which is by 1.5 times more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports on Aug. 31 with reference to the statistics bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.

Croatia’s share in Azerbaijan’s total export volume during the reporting period amounted to 4.37 percent (from January through July 2020 - 3.7 percent).

At the same time, Azerbaijan increased the import volume of Croatian products from $1.09 million to $1.2 million (by 15 percent).

Croatia’s share in Azerbaijan's total import volume amounted to 0.02 percent of the total volume, practically unchanged on an annualized basis.

The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Croatia during the reporting period amounted to $498.6 million while the foreign trade turnover between the two countries remained positive and amounted to $496.1 million.

In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover exceeded $17.7 billion from January through July 2021.

Some $11.4 billion (64.4 percent) of that amount accounted for export while $6.3 billion (35.6 percent) – for import.
