Iran resumes activity of several enterprises in Sistan and Baluchestan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 27

The activity of 10 industrial enterprises in the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran) have been restored from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021) to November 26, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran and Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Ali Rasoulian said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

He made the remark while getting acquainted with the infrastructure in Zahedan Industrial Park in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

The deputy minister said that necessary steps are being taken to resume the activity of the suspended enterprises in the province.

Rasoulian added that so far, a total of 935 enterprises have been restored in Iran over this year.

“In order to develop small business and create jobs for low-income people in Iran, 1,900 workshops are being established this year. About 700-800 workshops are ready for use. Also, 70 workshops are ready to use in Sistan and Baluchestan Province,” he noted.

Reportedly, Iran's Zahedan Industrial Park is located on 932 hectares of land. There are 204 enterprises in this park. These enterprises cost 2.35 trillion rials (about $56.1 million) and employ 4,486 people.
