Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 January / Trend / The first oil cargo was transported to the United States by the Heydar Aliyev tanker belonging to the Palmali Group of Companies of Azerbaijan to the Turkish Ceyhan port.
Under the contract, the company will transport the Azerbaijani oil from the Ceyhan port for the next ten years, the company reports. The Azerbaijan delegation, headed by Abid Sharifov, the Vice Premier, was present at the time of the tanker's departure from the port.
The Heydar Aliyev tanker which is of Suetsk class is 274m long, 50m wide and has an immersion of 17m. The dead-weight of the tanker is 165,000 tons. Palmali also owns another tanker named Zarifa Aliyeva.
