Azerbaijan, Baku, 21 July / Trend / Some 154mln KWt/h of electricity was generated in the Shaki module electric station in Azerbaijan in the first quarter (Q1) in 2008 against 197mln KWt/h in the same period in 2007, Azerenergy reported on 21 July. The decrease of electricity generation is due to provide of the population with meters.
In June 2008, 28.5mlnKWt/h of electricity was generated against 20.5mln KWt/h in 2007.
The electric station in Shaki with capacity of 87 MWt and consisting of 10 aggregators, were operated in October 2006. The station was built to provide the region with electricity. Two rings with 110 KV line of electricity transmission and 19.2km length was created.
