Kulevi oil terminal of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) prepares documentation to resume permit for customs operations, said a statement posted on the official website of the terminal.

Kulevi oil terminal of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) prepares documentation to resume permit for customs operations, said a statement posted on the official website of the terminal.

According to Georgian legislation and customs procedures the Terminal has obtained the status of temporary Storage Warehouse and Open Type Area in 2007. In general 90% of the terminal territory (mainly operations area) is called "Open Customs Zone" and turnover of all goods are implemented under the supervision and permission of the customs authorities.

Recently, Kulevi Oil Terminal has started to prepare documents for updating the license for customs activity. A Report about technical compliance of "customs warehouse" with legislation requirements is of great importance among the package of prepared documentation. The Terminal has already signed the agreement with Bureau Veritas LLC, which is to conduct the technical audit process. The technical audit of the terminal supposes an estimation of the automated control system and its operability level.

Bureau Veritas LLC has testified itself like one of the most experienced and successful companies in the field of certification, consulting and audits in the region.
The completion of mentioned license updating is planned till the end of 2010.
