Azerbaijan produced approximately 23.9 million tons of oil and condensate in January-June 2011, or 5.6 percent less than in January-June 2010, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said.
Azerbaijan produced 50.83 million tons of oil in 2010.
The main oil production fell to the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field and gas condensate Shah Deniz field, which are developed jointly with foreign partners.
Gas production totaled 12.91 billion cubic meters, or 2.1 percent less than in January-June 2010.
Roughly 26.23 billion cubic meters of gas were extracted last year in Azerbaijan. Roughly 16.67 billion fell to tank gas.
Azerbaijan produced 10.03 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-June, or 5.3 percent more than in January-June 2010.
