The volume of gas exports in Kazakhstan amounted to 872 million cubic meters in January, 2012, compared to 873 million cubic meters in January, 2011, a source at the national dispatching department of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan told Trend.
In January, 2011, gas exports in the amounted to 24.4 percent under production of about 3.56 billion cubic meters.
Imports of gas in the country amounted to 236 million cubic meters in January, 2012 compared to 871 million in January, 2011.
In January, 2012, import of natural gas in the country is 19.1 percent more than the import of the previous month, and is by 3.6 times less than in January, 2011.
