Azerkimya Production Unit (production of chemical products) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 1,900 tons of caustic soda in January 2012, which is 2.6 times more than the same period of 2011, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend on Friday.
An increase was observed in some basic chemical products produced by Azerkimya in January.

In January, 875,000 tons of solid polyethylene pipes, tubes and hoses were produced. It is 39 percent more compared to the same period of 2011. Some 85 tons of porous polyurethane plates and strips were produced in the republic. It is 8.5 times more than the same period of 2011.
