Libya's oil production in September increased by two per cent and reached 1.6 million barrels per day compared to the previous month, Libyan National Oil Company said today.
Natural gas production in Libya for the period increased by 0.5 per cent and hit 2.3 billion cubic meters per day.
Condensate production in September was 57,700 barrels per day.
Libya ranks eighth in terms of oil production volume among the 12 member states of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and third in Africa after Nigeria and Angola. Italy is the main importer of Libyan oil, followed by Germany, France and Spain.
Libya's proven oil reserves amount to 47 billion barrels.
