Kazakhstan's gas production amounted to 10.88 billion cubic meters (bcm) in January-March, 2013, compared to 10.426 bcm in the same period of 2012, the national dispatch center of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.
Gas production in Kazakhstan totaled 3.791 bcm in March, 2013 compared to 3.507 bcm during the same month of last year. In March, 2013 gas production in the country was 8.1 percent more than in March, 2012 and 9.4 percent more than in the previous month.
The fulfillment of the indicative plan on the gas extraction amounted to 103.9 percent in March, 2013.
Kazakhstan's domestic demand for gas amounted to 1.138 billion cubic metres last month, which is 11.6 percent less than demand in the previous month and 8.7 percent less than in March, 2012.
