Iran and Egypt will discuss the possibility of increasing the supply of Iranian gas to Egypt, "Al Jazeera" TV channel reported on Monday.
The issue will be discussed during a visit of the Iranian Oil Ministry's delegation to Cairo under the chairmanship of the Assistant of the country's oil minister, Ahmed Ali Akbar.
During the visit, which began today, the two sides will discuss a number of points of cooperation between the two countries in the oil and gas spheres.
According to the report, during the visit, oil exploration projects, the production of petroleum products and the construction of oil refineries in Egypt will be discussed.
According to the TV channel, Iran invited Egypt to implement a number of projects to drill and develop new oil and gas wells in the Nile Delta.
Over the past six months, Iran has exported gas worth $110 million to Egypt.
