Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan have discussed the Turkish Stream project, Russia's Energy Minister Alexander Novak told RIA Novosti.
The sides agreed to continue developing the issue after forming Turkey's new Cabinet of Ministers.
The two presidents met Nov.15 in Turkey's Antalya city on the sidelines of the G20 summit.
Answering the question whether the sides discussed the date of signing the intergovernmental agreement on the Turkish Stream project, Novak noted that during the meeting, the presidents discussed more general, conceptual issues.
Head of Russia's Gazprom company Alexey Miller also took part in the meeting between Putin and Erdogan.
The Turkish Stream project envisages construction of a gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey through the Black Sea. It was supposed that the pipeline will consist of four branches with the capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters of gas each.
The gas to be delivered via the first branch is meant completely for the Turkish market, while the rest of the volume will be delivered to the Turkish-Greek border, where it is planned to create a gas hub.
It was also planned to start the pipeline's construction in June, however, the issue is still under discussion.
