SOCAR completes Bulla Deniz well drilling earlier than planned

The Integrated Drilling Trust of Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR has completed the drilling of the well #122 at Bulla Deniz field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, said the message on SOCAR’s website.

The well was drilled from the fixed offshore platform #123 upon the order of SOCAR’s Azneft production union.

The drilling work, commenced in January 2017, was carried out with the use of the most progressive international technical and technological innovation in this sphere.

The well has reached the design depth of 6,153 meters and was put into operation with a daily debit of 180-200 tons of condensate and 800,000 cubic meters of gas.

The operation of the Bulla Deniz field started in 1975.

SOCAR is the sole producer of oil products in Azerbaijan. It is the co-owner of the largest Turkish petrochemical complex, Petkim, and other assets in Turkey.

Moreover, currently, the company is carrying out work as part of ensuring the supply of Azerbaijani gas to Europe.
