SOCAR Fugro LLC is negotiating to participate in new projects abroad, the company told Trend on Sep. 3.
"We constantly conduct negotiations on participation in new projects and attracting new clients. Presently, our co-founders, SOCAR and Fugro are implementing various projects abroad. SOCAR operates in the oil and gas sector in countries such as Georgia, Turkey, Romania, Switzerland, Germany and Ukraine, and also conducts trading operations, mainly in Switzerland, Singapore and Nigeria. Fugro is an international company and implements projects in 60 countries around the world," the company said.
SOCAR Fugro noted that at the moment the company is carrying out geophysical and geotechnical investigations in the shallow waters around the Absheron Peninsula, geophysical and geotechnical exploration at Oil Rocks, installation of platforms in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, as well as environmental studies within the Shah Deniz 2 project.
SOCAR Fugro is a joint venture of the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR and the Netherlands' Fugro.
The controlling stake of 51 percent belongs to SOCAR, 49 percent belongs to Fugro.
