Iran's Deputy Oil Minister Alireza Sadeghabadi said that 10 refineries in the country are constantly working to produce 105 million liters of gasoline, despite floods that have hit some of Iranian provinces.
"The oil pipelines are working under the most difficult conditions, to transfer crude oil to refineries, while the work of important crude oil pipelines are located in Khuzestan province are challenged by the flood," he said, Trend reports citing ILNA.
The official noted that the pipeline in Andimeshk region that was damaged by flood and rain, has been fixed.
Referring to work of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company staff he said that producing 105 million liters of gasoline and distributing 220 million liters of oil products during the times of natural disaster is not an easy task.
Sadeghabadi added that the fuel, including kerosene has been supplied to flood-hit regions of the country.
Since March 19, many roads in Iran have been affected by heavy rainfall that caused flash flooding. The deadly floods were caused by unusually heavy rainfall.
Some reports claim that over 47,000 people have been hospitalized with flood-related injuries, and an estimated $170 million in damages have been caused by the floods.
