Iran aims to have $40 billion invested in its petrochemical industry

Some $40 billion will be invested in projects in Iran's petrochemical industry, CEO of Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Behzad Mohammadi stated at a press conference, Trend reports referring to Shana News Agency.

According to him, the volume of investments will reach $17 billion by 2022 (by March 21, 2022), and additional $23 billion will be invested by 2025.

Mohammadi added that $13 billion of the aforementioned $17 billion of investments have so far been provided via local and foreign investments.

According to him, the remaining sum needs to be provided by March 21, 2022.

In his words, the issue of monetary sources is currently being looked into.
