BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan. 15

By Elnur Baghishov - Trend:

The catalysts worth approximately $225 million will be produced and used in the Iranian petrochemical sector by end of March 2022, Executive Director of Iran’s Petrochemical Research and Technology Company Ali Pajouhan said, Trend reports referring to Shana.

“Presently, 16 groups of catalysts worth about $105 million are produced in Iran a year,” Pajouhan added. “The production of nine more groups worth $110 million per year will be launched until 2022.”

"In general, 40 groups of catalysts worth about $260 million are used in the country's petrochemical industry,” the executive director added. “The work on the remaining 15 groups is under development. This is not a very important group of catalysts that are used in small quantities."

“The company’s activity is related to the regulation of technological knowledge in the production of petrochemical products,” Pajouhan said. “The main spheres of the activity are research in the field of production of catalysts and strategic chemicals, as well as solving problems in this sphere at manufacturing enterprises.”
