Trend:

The situation at Iran's South Pars gas platforms are normal, while the equipment and facilities are being cleaned with antiseptics, said production manager of Pars Oil and Gas Company.

"The production at South Pars continue and there are not problems," said Alireza Ebadi, Trend reports citing ILNA.

"The health conditions of the workforce are normal; so far, not a single case of coronavirus has been found thanks to the measures taken. The HSE unit and related departments in the region maintain good cooperation in this regard," Ebadi added.

"Tests and necessary control are being implemented to monitor arriving individuals, and the suspected persons have been sent to the hospital. The sanitizers and antiseptics were distributed to platforms, and even the staff delivering food is screened," the manager said.

"Special measures have been implemented in Assalouyeh region and sea ambulance transferred potential patients that could be infected with coronavirus infection from the platform to the shore. An operation center has been established to isolate sick workers," he said.

"Individuals from provinces that have high risk of coronavirus spread will be banned from entering Assalouyeh. The number of workers on platforms has been reduced and unnecessary activities stopped. Furthermore, individuals with history of high blood pressure, diabetes and poor heart condition are on leave now," he said.

"We are preparing for major overhaul in platforms that would start in May. Hopefully, this unprecedented situation would not be an obstacle for it," Ebadi added.
