Iran's Gachsaran Oil and Gas Company announces short-term plans

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 21

The existing opportunities will be used to the maximum in order to protect and increase production at the Gachsaran Oil and Gas Company of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province in southwestern Iran in the current Iranian year (starting March 20, 2020), said Hoshang Seydali, the managing director of Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company (GOGPC), Trend reports citing official website of Company.

According to Seydali, 29 plans have been identified to increase production.

Seydali said that elimination of defects in oil and gas wells, acceleration of work related to the construction of sweetening units, turbines repair, commissioning of crude oil pumps are included in some of these plans.

The official said that the company will transport a large amount of liquefied gas to Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company soon.

"Projects to collect flare gas to supply fuel to the Bid-Boland gas refinery will be also implemented this year. Some of the collected flare gas will be used in the Gachsaran and Bibi Hakimeh oil fields to increase the pressure," he said.

Iran's Gachsaran Oil and Gas Company is subordinated to the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC). The company operates in the area of oil production, refining, transportation, production of natural gas and gas condensate. The company produces more than 600,000 barrels of oil and more than 8 million cubic meters of gas per day. The Gachsaran oil field, which is owned by the company, is Iran's second largest oil field.
