The Central Alborz Coal Company of Iran and the Tabas Parvadeh Coal Company produced more than 396,000 tons of coal during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020), Trend reports referring to the website of Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation (IMIDRO).
According to the report, coal production decreased by 16.3 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. More than 474,000 tons of coal were produced in the same period last year.
“The two companies produced 176,700 tons of coal concentrate in three months. This is an increase of 3.6 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the report said.
About 170,400 tons of coal concentrate was produced in the same period last Iranian year, the report said.
“The volume of coal concentrate sent by these two companies to related companies during the first three months of current Iranian year was 175,200 tons. However, 192,300 tons of coal concentrate was sent to related companies in the same period last Iranian year,” the report said.
According to the report, the two companies extracted a total of more than 1.58 million tons of coal and produced more than 664,000 tons of coal concentrate in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).
About 700,500 tons of coal concentrate was sent to related companies in the last Iranian year.
