The volume of water in Iran's dams decreased by 27 percent from the beginning of the current water year (September 22, 2020) to May 22, 2021, compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.
According to the report, the volume of water in Iran's dams was 28.8 billion cubic meters within the mentioned. While in the same period last water year, there were 39.7 billion cubic meters of water in Iran's dams.
At present, the volume of water in Iran's dams is 57 percent, the report said.
“The inflow of water into Iran's dams amounted to 25.3 billion cubic meters during the reporting period. This is a decrease of 47 percent, compared to the same period last water year. However, 47.6 billion cubic meters of water inflow the dams of Iran in the same period last water year,” the report said.
According to the report, the water outflow from Iran's dams was 23.6 billion cubic meters until May 22. This is a decrease of 35 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
