Projects related to solar energy, implemented by Ener-t International in Georgia, would be beneficial to Georgia's energy grid, the company told Trend.

The company mentioned that a project to build a 100-MW solar power plant in Georgia is under development.

"We are working in collaboration with Georgia's authorities and hope to start the construction of this venture within a few months," said the company.

According to the Ener-t International, the volume of investments in this project amounted to $100 million.

The company claims such projects have considerable benefits for Georgia's energy sector, as as well as the whole economy. Among them - renewable power generation, lower level of pollution, more jobs.

Ener-t International also pointed to energy storage, which means a power plant could be included into an 'Energy Storage system', which would extend the production time by up to an additional several hours every day.

"PV's most suitable for large scale power plants and would become competitive with other renewable technologies at such large scale," said the company.

Ener-t International is technology expert, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor and project developer of concentrated solar thermal power plants (CSP). Ener-t offers complete EPC services, including the supply of the solar field, using its patented high-efficiency, proven and bankable technology.
