Uzbekistan's Uzbekneftegaz JSC received an industrial gas inflow at well #96 of the Sharky Berdakh field of the country’s Karakalpakstan region, Trend reports with reference to UzDaily.uz.
The flow rate of the well at the 22 mm fitting was 1.36 million cubic meters per day.
Evaluation and production well #96 was the first at the Sharky Berdakh field, successfully drilled to a depth of 4,300 meters.
The Sharkiy Berdakh deposit is located on the territory of the Aral Sea.
Earlier it was reported that Uzbekneftegaz JSC received an industrial gas inflow at well #168 at South Kemachi field of Mubarek oil and gas production department of Uzbekneftegaz JSC. Commercial gas inflow was received with daily flow of 50,000 cubic meters and 1.5 tons of gas condensate was obtained.
Uzbekneftegaz is a state-owned holding company and the largest state company in Uzbekistan. The company ranks 11th in the world's natural gas production.
At the beginning of 2020, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed Uzbekneftegaz to thoroughly analyze each field and ensure the increase in gas production.
