Iran’s East Oil & Gas Production Company increases extraction

The extraction of Iran’s East Oil and Gas Production Company has increased by 104 percent from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021) to October 18, compared to the plan, Executive Director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC), Ramin Hatami said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

The director noted that the company extracted 7 billion cubic meters of gas within the mentioned period.

Hatami added that the company plans to extracts daily 58 million cubic meters of gas over the next four months.

“From the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021) to October 17, a total of 1.63 billion cubic meters of gas was injected into the Shourijeh D gas storage facility operating under the company. This is about 81 percent of the company’s plan,” he said.

According to Hatami, over the next month, the volume of gas injected into the storage facility will reach 1.85 billion cubic meters.

“During the last 4 months of the current Iranian year (November 22, 2021 through March 20, 2022), 16 million cubic meters of gas will be used daily from this storage facility,” the director emphasized.

He also said that 880 million cubic meters of gas has been pumped into the Sarajeh gas storage facility, which is to be increase to 1.22 billion cubic meters.

As reported, the East Oil and Gas Production Company is operating under the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The company works the Khangiran and Gunbadli gas fields. The company extracts 62 million cubic meters of gas per day. The Khangiran gas field has 480 billion cubic meters of gas reserves. About 17 million cubic meters of gas are extracted daily from this field.
