Iran signs agreement on laying of pipeline to transport oil products

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 7

The Iranian Oil Ministry signed an agreement on the laying of a pipeline to transport oil products from the Hajjiabad County of Hormozgan Province to the Shiraz County of Fars Province on March 6, 2022, Trend reports citing National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company’s website.

According to the report, the agreement was signed between the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) Jalil Salari, and the CEO of the Tejarat Bank of Iran Hadi Akhlaghi Feyz.

The pipeline, which will be 400-kilometer long will allow the transport 73,000 barrels (about 12 million liters) of oil products per day from Hajjiabad County to Shiraz County.

Along with the laying of pipeline, two pumping stations, one oil terminal, one new storage facility with a capacity of 80 million liters will be built and the capacity of one storage facility will be increased.

The amount of funds to be spent will be determined after an accurate calculation.

Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji and Iranian Finance Minister Ehsan Khandozi attended the signing ceremony.
