BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 26. Kazakhstan’s revenue from the product transportation via pipelines amounted to 289.9 billion tenge ($574.07 million) over the period from January through February 2022, which is 21.9 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The revenue for February 2022 amounted to 144.6 billion tenge ($286.3 million), which is 24.9 percent more compared to February 2021.

The volume transported during the reporting period amounted to 47.3 million tons, which is 9.9 percent more compared to the same period of last year (22.6 million in February 2021, 9.2 percent more compared to February 2021).

Cargo turnover amounted to 24.8 billion ton-kilometers which is 15 percent more than during the same period of last year. The cargo turnover for February 2022 stood at 11.7 billion t-km, which is 14.1 percent more compared to the same month of 2021.

The majority of the products transported via pipelines accounted for the Atyrau region of the country, i.e. 14.7 million tons over the period from January through February 2022, which is 11.2 percent more compared to the same period last year.

Kazakhstan’s largest oil pipeline company is KazTransOil, which provides services on oil transportation on the domestic market and for export.

The company is an owner of the largest network of main oil pipelines and water lines in the country, the total length of which amounts to 5,376 km of oil pipelines and 1,975 km of water pipeline.
