BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. Kazakhstan intends to approve lower prices for commercial gas for organizations producing electricity for digital mining, Trend reports.
According to the order of the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, the maximum price of wholesale sales of commercial gas in the domestic market of Kazakhstan for the period from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, according to the annex to this order, will be approved for large commercial consumers with an annual consumption of commercial gas of more than 10 million cubic meters and persons engaged in digital mining, or persons producing electrical energy for digital mining.
The marginal cost of 1,000 cubic meters of gas for organizations in the field of digital mining, excluding value added tax, in Astana will be approved in the amount of 43,361 Kazakh tenge ($96.88), Almaty - 53,254 Kazakh tenge ($118.98) and Shymkent - 49,390 Kazakh tenge ($110.35).
Furthermore, in Akmola region it will be approved at the level of 43,361 tenge Kazakh tenge ($96.88), Aktobe - 19,619 Kazakh tenge ($43.83), Almaty - 53,254 Kazakh tenge ($118.98), Atyrau - 13,712 Kazakh tenge ($30.64), West Kazakhstan region -18,078 Kazakh tenge ($40.39), Zhambyl - 49,055 Kazakh tenge ($109.60), Zhetysu - 53,254 Kazakh tenge ($118.98).
At the same time, in the East Kazakhstan region, it will be approved in the amount of 9,076 Kazakh tenge ($20.28), Kostanay - 40,353 Kazakh tenge ($90.16), Kyzylorda - 35,017 Kazakh tenge ($78.24), Mangystau - 21,961 Kazakh tenge ($49.07), Turkestan - 49,390 Kazakh tenge tenge ($110.35), Ulytau and Karaganda - 43,361 Kazakh tenge ($96.88).
