ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 12. A department of the Turkmengaz State Concern of Turkmenistan has received an industrial inflow of natural gas at the production well No. 238 of the Galkynysh field, Trend reports.
According to the data, drilling operations were carried out at a depth of 4496 through 4214 meters, with a total length of 189 meters.
Furthermore, the debit capacity of the well is over 2.26 million cubic meters of natural gas per day.
Efficient drilling of the well was carried out using technological equipment from the Japanese company Sumitomo. This project was carried out in compliance with all the requirements and norms established for drilling, which will ensure the long-term operation of this well.
A representative of Turkmengaz said at the end of April that the state concern is drilling 10 new gas wells at the Galkynysh field. He said the average estimated gas flow rate is 1.5 million cubic meters per day, and the potential of the deposit allows for a long time to operate wells with a flow rate of more than 2 million cubic meters per day.
Turkmenistan agreed in February to attract oil and gas companies from the UAE to participate in the next stages of the development of the Galkynysh field.
