Sales of Iran's Kharg Petrochemical Company up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 23. The sales of Iran's Kharg Petrochemical Company increased by 25.3 percent in value and 4.5 percent in volume during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2023), compared to the same period last year, said Hassan Vafaei, executive director of company, Trend reports.

According to him, the company sold 842,000 tons of petrochemical products worth about 99 trillion rials (about $2.36 billion) within 9 months.

“In the corresponding period of the previous Iranian year, the company’s sales stood at 806,000 tons, worth approximately 79 trillion rials (about $1.88 billion),” Vafaei added.

The director also stated that Kharg Petrochemical Company has produced a total of 858,000 tons of petrochemical products in the specified period, representing a 7.25-percent increase from 800,000 tons in the same period last year.

Iran’s Kharg Petrochemical Company operates under Tamin Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Investment Company (TAPICCO). This company can produce various types of petrochemical products, including methanol, propane, butane, naphtha, sulfur.
