Georgia opens bay leaf processing plant

A bay leaf processing plant equipped by modern standards has opened in the village of Queda, Chkhorotsku, Chkhorotsku municipality in Georgia, Trend reports with reference to Georgia Online news agency.

Some 10 jobs were created and the investment was 127,000 lari.

A new enterprise was opened with the support of the state program “Produce in Georgia” As part of the project, the National Agency of State Property transferred to Jumiti-2014 LLC a plot of land of 4,558 square meters in the village of Queda Chkhorotsku for one lari. The company produces 90 tons of dried bay leaf per year and the products are intended for the local market.
