Actively developing market of Uzbekistan is within the strategic interests of Altyn Bank of Kazakhstan, marketing manager of Altyn Bank Angela Kubasheva told Trend in an interview.
Recently it was reported that Altyn Bank JSC financed the Uzbek joint-stock bank Kishlok Qurilish Bank in the amount of $3 million under a syndicated loan.
“We hope to expand cooperation with banks in Uzbekistan in the areas of trade finance, transfer and treasury operations,” she said.
She also added that Altyn Bank is ready to consider establishing correspondent relations and developing cooperation in the field of trade finance with banks in Uzbekistan.
Altyn Bank is a subsidiary of China CITIC Bank Corporation Ltd, ranked 13th in terms of assets and has the highest international credit ratings (BBB from Fitch and Ba1 from Moody’s) among Kazakh commercial banks.
The Bank was the first in Kazakhstan to introduce a full-fledged digital bank for individuals under the Altyn-i brand. In the sector of work with legal entities, it primarily serves large and medium-sized businesses and international companies.
