Azerbaijani NBCO talks activities amid COVID-19 quarantine regime

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 21

By Fidan Babayeva – Trend:

Assets of the Azerbaijani Finex Kredit Non-Bank Credit Organization (NBCO) amounted to 9.6 million manat, and loan portfolio – 7.3 million manat ($4.3 million) as of April 1, 2020, Chairman of the Board of the Finex Kredit Rashad Gasimov told Trend.

The chairman added that the NBCO completed the first quarter of 2020 with a profit of 106,800 manat ($62,823).

“The spread of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in the world began in late December 2019. We began to feel a weak negative impact on the organization’s activities closer to the end of the first quarter of 2020. Actually we were ready in advance for different scenarios of the developments, and therefore Finex Kredit completed the first quarter with profit,” said the chairman.

“The danger of the spread of the virus, the introduction of a special quarantine regime, a ban for operation until April 6 partially, but not critically, weakened the organization’s work. Basically, NBCO’s clients could not receive consultations on loans and loan repayments,” Gasimov added.

“Like many companies, we used various remote modes of working with clients, including online. Thanks to our website and pages on social networks, our customers have great opportunities to get advice and apply for a loan. Also, in all branches we created mobile groups of employees who visited the customers at their place of residence, examined loan applications, consulted, and also assisted in the selection of credit payment channels and interest on them,” said Gasimov.

He said that the Finex Kredit’s employees decided to transfer part of their salary to the Coronavirus Response Fund, established by the decree of Azerbaijan’s president dated March 19, 2020.

Finex Kredit has been operating since 2013 and builds its activities on the basis of the principles of transparent partnership in accordance with modern international financial standards. Over the years of its activity, the organization is growing steadily, increasing profit every year. New branches are opened in Baku and in the regions. Presently, the organization has 11 points of sale, with its head office in Baku.

Considering the interests and needs of customers, from 2013 to 2020, regional branches of t he company were opened in Baku (three offices), Ganja (two offices), Zagatala, Gabala, Sumgayit, and Khirdalan cities.

The strategic goal of Finex Kredit NBCO is to become a leading credit organization in Azerbaijan and a leader in the financial services market in its sector. The NBCO’s main priority is to maintain long-term partnerships with customers, constantly increase their number and improve the quality of services, and, ultimately, build transparent and healthy business relationships.
