Uzbekistan to improve transparency and openness of budget data

Information publications will contribute to improving financial literacy and involving citizens in the budgeting process, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

The strategy for improving the public finance management system of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2024 will ensure transparency of budget information and its compliance with international standards.

Measures have already been taken and are being implemented to increase the openness and transparency of budget data.

Under the framework of the implementation of the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the joint UNDP and the Ministry of Finance project Financing Sustainable Development in Uzbekistan, the publishing of the information of Budget for Citizens continues.

Currently, publications have been prepared and posted on the Open Budget portal.

6 information publications are posted in the portal among which is the budget for citizens according to the approved State Budget for 2020, as well as on the implementation of the State Budget in 2019.

Citizens of Uzbekistan readers will be able to obtain basic information about the state budget, with the forecast, parameters and execution of budget revenues and expenditures, the level of the budget deficit and the sources of its coverage, public debt, inter-budgetary relations, etc. in the state, Russian and English languages, as well as with other useful information, including reports on the execution of the State budget on the official website of the Ministry of Finance (www.mf.uz) and Open Budget information portal (www.openbudget.uz).
