Azerbaijan's largest loans share falls on household sector

The largest share of loans in Azerbaijan as of early October 2020 fell on the household sector, amounting to 45.6 percent, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank's statistical bulletin.

The volume of loans in the household sector increased by 7.8 percent (488.3 million manats or $287.2 million) compared to the same period last year, amounting to 6.78 billion manats ($3.9 billion).

In trade and services structure, the volume of loans at the end of September 2020 increased by 4.6 percent (110.7 million manats or $65.1 million) compared to the end of September 2019, amounting to 2.496 billion manats ($1.4 billion), while the share of the total volume of credit investments in this sector was 16.8 percent.

As of the field of transport and communications, the volume of loans for the reported period amounted to 892 million manats ($524.7 million), which is equivalent to six percent of the total volume of loans in the real sector, and this figure decreased by 275.9 million manats ($162.2 million) over the year.

In the sphere of industry and production, an increase in lending by 317.1 million manats ($186.5 million) was noted.

In general, the volume of lending to the real sector as of October 1 amounted to 14.9 billion manat ($8.7 billion).
