The value of credit investments in Azerbaijan made up slightly over 14.2 billion manat ($8.3 billion) as of early February 2021, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA, this figure means a decline compared to the same period of 2020 by 902.6 million manat or $530.9 million (6 percent).
Meanwhile, the population’s deposits amounted to 8.2 billion manat ($4.8 billion), down by 385.6 million manat or $226.8 million (4.5 percent) over the year.
Earlier the CBA’s Chairman Elman Rustamov stated that 86.5 percent of all deposits of the population are insured.
