Kazakhstan eyes increasing budget of Nur-Sultan city

Kazakhstan plans to increase the budget of Nur-Sultan to 434 billion tenge ($1 billion), Trend reports referring to Kazinform international news agency.

According to the information, at the meeting chaired by Mukhtar Yerketayev, the Council members considered the issue of amending the decision of the maslikhat (local representative body) of the city of Nur-Sultan on the budget of the city of Nur-Sultan for 2021-2023 years.

“Taking into account the analysis of the actual collection of own revenues, the plan for 2021 is proposed to be revised upward by 45.7 billion tenge ($107 million), with an increase to 434 billion tenge ($1 billion). Including, on tax revenues - 40 billion tenge ($94 million), on non-tax revenues - 3.11 billion tenge ($7 million), on proceeds from the sale of fixed capital - 2.6 billion tenge ($6 million),"- head of the Department of Economics and Budget Planning of Nur-Sultan Kaisar Mankaraev said.

According to Mankaraev, it is proposed to increase the volume of financing of the social sphere by 14.4 billion tenge ($34 million). In general, spending on the social sphere of the capital will amount to 207.5 billion tenge ($486 million).

After discussion, the Council decided to approve the draft document and send it to the city maslikhat.
