Dutch FMO to allocate loan to Uzbekistan's Hamkorbank

The Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank (FMO) will provide a loan to Hamkorbank of Uzbekistan for $100 million, Trend reports referring to Uzbekistan’s United Portal of Corporate Information.

Hamkorbank will direct money to support women's and youth entrepreneurship.

It should be noted that the FMO is one of the shareholders of Hamkorbank. In 2014, FMO bought 15 percent of the securities of a financial institution.

Hamkorbank's shares are traded on Uzbek Republican Stock Exchange "Toshkent". The issuer's common securities from the beginning of the year and until October 5 have grown to $0.0037 per share (+ 48 percent).

Moreover, Hamkorbank is the largest private bank in Uzbekistan in terms of assets - $1 billion as of September 1, 2021.

In the first half of 2021, its net profit was $ 16.5 million, which is 22 percent more than in the same period last year.
