Azerbaijan names amount of compulsory real estate insurance market fees

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 7. Fees on the mandatory non-life insurance market of Azerbaijan amounted to 124.5 million manat ($73.2 million) or 17.02 percent of all insurance market fees from January through September 2022, Trend reports via the Central Bank of Azerbaijan's (CBA) report.

According to the report, real estate insurance fees totaled nearly 41.08 million manat ($24.4 million) in the reporting period, down by 13.55 percent compared to the same period of 2021.

Meanwhile, the collected premiums for civil liability insurance of vehicle owners reached 80.3 million manat ($47.2 million), having increased by 7.32 percent year-on-year.

Insurance compensation payments for all types of mandatory non-life insurance made up 69.1 million manat ($40.6 million) from January through September 2022, or 21.71 percent of all payments on the insurance market.

In total, Azerbaijan's insurance companies collected premiums amounting to over 731.2 million manat ($430.1 million) from January through September 2022, while their payments totaled 318.6 million manat ($187.4 million).
