Air Protecting Network to Installed in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Babayeva / By the end of 2008 national radio monitoring network will be installed in Azerbaijan, enabling to protect the air transmission in the country, Aflatun Mammadov, the head of the State Department for Radio Frequencies, said. The project was adopted by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies and approved at its technical board.

Mammadov said that equipment for monitoring and direction finding will be installed in Baku, and later in Ganja, Gazakh, Guba, Gabala, Zaatala, Masalli, Astara, Beylagan, and Ali Bayramli.

Efficient use of frequencies registration and listing of electron means, air control, and prevention of air intervention will be provided through this system.

"This project is crucial from the aspect of protecting cyber-area, which is currently in focus of world community," Mammadov said.

The project will be implemented through the internal funds of the department and public budget. Mammadov did not rule out attracting the technical loan. 'This is an important project for the country," he said.
