Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 April / Trend corr S. Babayeva/ In the first quarter of 2008, the total volume of postal money transfers via state-run Azerpocht rose by AZN 2.8mln to AZN 15.6mln, the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry reported.
The number of the money transfers rose by 82,655 or 15.4%.
In that period, about 33,000 postal parcels were sent via Azerpocht, which is 43.4% more than in the first quarter of 2007. The number of international parcels rose by 475 or 33.9%.
