Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 June / corr Trend S.Babayeva / Intel corporation is interested in studying the influence of information technology on economy and education development in Azerbaijan, Craig Barrett, the chairman of the Board of Directors of Intel corporation, said in Baku 5 June.
"Intel is very much interested in improving the education of youth by applying information technology worldwide," he said.
Within the frames of Barrett's visit to Baku, it is planned to sign a memorandum on intention with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology to implement a program on Mobile Technology in Schools; continuation of Intel's program on 'Education for Future' in Azerbaijan and to support the project on development of wireless Internet technology (Wi-Fi and Wi-Max).
The document also envisages information and technical support by Intel to the state program on education in Azerbaijan, and to increase the application of computers and Internet in the country.
