Number of users of broadband Internet increased 57.5 percent in Azerbaijan from early 2009. According to the Communication and IT ministry, at present, services of broadband access are represented in 46 Azerbaijani regions and cities.
Volume of incoming traffic increased 59.8 million minutes and hit 272 million minutes in the first six months of 2009 compared to similar period of 2008.
Volume of outgoing traffic increased 7.6 million minutes and hit 75.3 million minutes.
According to the ministry, at present, 37 Internet users fall on 100 people but 8 PC - for 100 people.
